Biography
Dunja Košutić was born in Osijek and received her first musical training there with Mirko Hrženjak. She continued with Davor Reba at the Zagreb Academy of Music, spent an Erasmus exchange with Chen Halevi at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen, and completed postgraduate study at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with Nicholas Cox and Antonio Salguero, supported by a full Leverhulme Trust scholarship. She has taken part in master classes with Gábor Varga, Yehuda Gilad and others.
Her orchestral and stage experience ranges from the Croatian Chamber Orchestra and the Zagreb theatres Mala Scena and Binocular to the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble in Amsterdam and Manchester’s Hallé Orchestra.
Since 2019 she has been a member of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, where she was recently appointed leader of the clarinet section.
